Welcome - this is the new home page for the McGregor Campbell Group, the "big brother" to Janet's Vasse Bookkeeping business.

Even though I have progressively wound down my full-time business consultancy work over recent years, I still have some client relationships going back over two decades, and regularly find that clients both new and old refer their business associates to me for guidance and advice.

Current wisdom suggests that one must have a modern website to be successful; I'm not sure that that is actually true, as in my line of professional work the relationships that I have built are far better indicators of and advertisements for my services and capabilities than a few words on a computer screen.

Nevertheless, a few words follow. Please call or email me if you have a problems and you'd like to find out more about what assistance I might be able to offer.

The McGregor Campbell Group Story
McGregor Campbell Group was formed in 1997 by Michael McGregor and me following a casual chat at a break in a board meeting in Sydney (we were both Directors of the Australian Human Resources Institute at the time). In the weeks and months that followed, Michael, then a registered psychologist, and I pooled our skills to present a range of people based solutions to organisations - the McGregor Campbell Group was born.

Over the 25 years which followed McGregor Campbell Group has successfully delivered extensive people management support to clients across a very wide range of technical disciplines. Michael formally retired in 2021, and I continue with a select group of mainly Western Australian based clients.

I hold an Associate Diploma in Business (Training & Development) from the University of South Australia and a PostGraduate Diploma in Business (HR Management) from Curtin University. In addition I have successfully completed the Management Development Programme at the Australian Management College Mount Eliza (now Mount Eliza Melbourne Business School). I was awarded the Company Directors Course Diploma in 1998. I am a past President of the Australian Human Resources Institute in WA, and was a Board Member of the Institute nationally.

Perhaps more importantly than my formal qualifications, I have over 35 years’ experience in a wide range of Human Resource and general management and consulting functions, backed up with a healthy dose of common-sense. I have consulted to the financial services, agribusiness (including wine industry), resources, energy, professional services, manufacturing, information technology, education, not-for-profit, government and general commercial sectors. I also spent some time working in the management consulting division of international business advisory firm Ernst & Young. I have presented papers at seminars and conferences, both in Australia and overseas, as well as undertaking consulting assignments in Asia.
